Oldschool vs. Newschool

Ravenna teens’ game ends with bomb squad, because people don't play video games in Ravenna.

Heck, it's not just that. It's that people are dumb. Near as I can tell from the article, the blocks were simply left on the ground instead of hung in trees and stuff like they're supposed to be, which is vaguely sacreligious but also more acceptably suspicious to my mind. Still, if I saw a box that was carefully decorated, even if I didn't immediately recognize the pattern, I wouldn't be as worried about a potential threat. What kind of terrorist would take the time to pimp out their packaging?

I think what we really need is some way to revitalize the concept of the neighborhood arcade. I know I always feel more artistic when I'm surrounded by electronic diversions, even though that sounds kind of backwards. Must be something about the flashing screens and cacophony of sounds that stimulates my brain.

You'd think it was an April Fool's joke, except you can make your own Mario blocks if you don't fear the five-o. Plus, here's another article, a little shorter but definitely confirming the report. Might not be a total disconnect - I know I'd pick a day like today to lay up some question blocks. I'm dumb enough to think people might get it.
